Christopher Loffredo Hayes was born on February 28, 1979, in New York City. He attended Brown University, where he majored in history and American Civilization. After graduating from Brown, Hayes earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.
Career
Hayes began his career as a reporter for The Village Voice. In 2006, he joined The Nation as a staff writer. He has also written for outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Time magazine. In 2013, Hayes became the host of "All In with Chris Hayes" on MSNBC.
