Skinner's Goal Gaffe With Zadorov Sparks Debate on NHL's New Trend
Beating Silovs and Potential Goaltending Decisions for the Oilers and Canucks
COLUMBUS, OH - The Edmonton Oilers have made a pair of trades to acquire forwards Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick from the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. The Oilers have been one of the most active teams leading up to the March 3rd NHL Trade Deadline.
The Oilers, who are currently in a playoff spot, are looking to add some depth to their lineup as they make a push for the Stanley Cup. Henrique and Carrick are both experienced players who can provide the Oilers with some much-needed scoring and leadership.
In return for Henrique and Carrick, the Oilers sent defenseman Dmitri Samorukov and a conditional draft pick to the Ducks.
The Oilers are hoping that the addition of Henrique and Carrick will help them make a deep playoff run. The Oilers have not won the Stanley Cup since 1990.
