Edmonton Oilers Look to Extend Win Streak to 10 Games Against Montreal Canadiens

Third Game of Four-Game Homestand Tuesday Night

After falling 6-2 to the Canadiens on Saturday night, the Oilers look to bounce back and set a new franchise record with their 10th straight victory.

The Edmonton Oilers will look to extend their franchise-record winning streak to 10 games when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night at Rogers Place. The Oilers are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Canadiens on Saturday night, but they have won nine straight games since then.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have been leading the way for the Oilers during their winning streak. McDavid has 13 goals and 20 assists in his last 10 games, while Draisaitl has 10 goals and 16 assists. The Oilers are also getting contributions from their depth players, with Evan Bouchard, Zach Hyman, and Kailer Yamamoto all chipping in offensively.

The Canadiens are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers on Saturday night. They are currently in last place in the NHL standings, but they have shown some signs of improvement lately. Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield have been leading the way for the Canadiens offensively, and Jake Allen has been solid in goal.

The Oilers will be looking to extend their winning streak to 10 games and set a new franchise record. The Canadiens will be looking to snap their six-game losing streak and move up in the standings. It should be a good matchup between two teams heading in different directions.
